OWdle Quote guide

A guide to the two-speaker exchange: locking one speaker to focus the other, and reading a line's tone for its owner.

How Quote works

You see two lines of dialogue from the moments before a match, spoken between two heroes. You have eight guesses to name both speakers. Naming one correctly locks that speaker in, so every remaining guess can focus on the other.

Strategy

  1. 01

    Solve the easier speaker first

One line is almost always more distinctive than the other. Lock that speaker in, and your full remaining guess budget narrows onto the harder one.

  2. 02

Read the relationship, not just the line

Pre-match banter is usually written between heroes who share a history or a faction. Once you place one speaker, the other is frequently someone tied to them in the story.

  3. 03

    Tone points at role

A taunt, a warning, a bit of gallows humor: the register of a line hints at the kind of hero who says it, often before you recognize the exact words.

Tips

  • Both speakers share one eight-guess budget, so a locked speaker is a real head start.
  • This is the one mode where the goal is to identify both speakers, not to guess a single hero.
